We know many never light their creature candles, but when you do..
Always place a candle on a non flammable heat resistant surface.
Even though we include a small safety gadget in the base of the candle
to help stop the flame reaching the base. We still advise you to take

Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Do you trust hubby's shelf making skills? Or fido not to knock over the
table. Be safe.
Do not handle a burning candle.
The design of these candles means that there is a pool of wax contained
within the interior of the candle. Don't play with your little friend
when its burning! Extinguish the candle and allow to cool and harden
before handling.
Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
Especially tiddles whiskers, although they learn fast and of course, stupid
adults!
Keep candles away from flammable objects (of which you are one).
They don't like to be crowded give them some personal space.
Trim the wick to 0.5 -1cm prior to first use.
Whether or not you need to trim the wick after first use depends on
how long you leave your candle burning for. We design our candles
not to smoke and to use a small flame. With any candle if the flame
begins to smoke, extinguish the candle and trim the wick.
Keep your candle away from any drafts. Drafts will cause the candle to smoke and produce uneven burning of the outer shell.
